Scanning with a 3D camera and production of 3D models (virtual objects)

Scanning is performed using a mobile scanner "M3 Trolley" controlled by the operator. On the M3 Trolley there are three laser scanners and six high resolution cameras that together create together 3-dimensional image of the scanned environment.

Before the start of the work, it is necessary to make a tour of all scanning area to determine ideal scanning path. Scanning will be done during non-working time to minimize room occupations with employees.

After the scanner passes through all spaces, data processing and post processing follows. In the post process, the measured results are combined with 3D laser scans and high resolution digital images.

Unfinished data (photos and laser scanning data), panoramas and "point clouds" generated by post-processing are available on digital media.
